Rooster is a new curated subscription reading service for the smartphone that makes good fiction a seamless part of daily life. The mobile app recommends great books to you every month and then delivers them in bite-sized installments to your phone. Together with our site DailyLIt, we aim to bring great fiction to busy people. We are the only team that combines world-class software engineers (MIT, ex-Palantir) with an eminent editorial staff (New York Times-bestselling author) that has relationships with publishers of the world's best writers. Our library includes published works from a National Book Award winner, two National Book Award finalists, a Pulitzer finalist, and a PEN/Hemingway award winner. Over half of readers say the biggest barrier to reading more is lack of time, according to a USA Today poll. A consumer survey conducted by former Netflix marketings executives for us in January 2014 found 44% of respondents were interested in the Rooster service.
