NewCo Festivals is the first event series to "follow the free" and employ a sharing economy model to traditional business conferences. Our core offering is a mashup of an artist open studio and a business conference, with a music festival vibe. We identify companies that are positive engines of change in a given city, curate them onto the NewCo platform, and then organize a 2- to 4-day festival where all companies in a given city open their doors and host sessions at their HQ. It's an extraordinary way to get inside innovative companies, and it's free - with an upgrade path of course. Our model is unique as our opex is distributed - we are an "information first" company that reorganizes value in a marketplace. In our case, the value is access to qualified attendees, and inside qualified companies. In 2014, we organized 14 festivals in 8 markets around the world, with 12K attendees. In 2015, we will launch a media brand, and host 20+ festivals with 25K attendees in 15+ markets.
