Beep has built an operating system and a tiny Wi-Fi computer. Beep sells both to speaker manufacturers to make their speakers smart. Like Sonos, speakers running BeepOS connect to play perfectly-synchronized music in every room of the home. But Beep’s flexible linux-based environment and built-in microphone support enable smart-home application development, including voice control. Pandora and Spotify have adopted Beep's platform: their Android & iOS apps can control Beep speakers directly. Beep is building speakers with several partners and will ship its first device in Fall of 2014.
